Personality: An Æonan of perfect integrity, Ontomeis cannot tell, or bear to listen to, a lie. He is concerned with the facts, the truth, and nothing else. Although this is a wonderful quality to possess, it can, at times, become quite tedious to engage him in a conversation in which fantasy, imagination or speculation are subjects. Despite this shortcoming, he is liked by all since everyone knows that his word can always be trusted.

Special Abilities: Remote Viewing.  As the Chief Recorder, Ontomeis has full access to all the history, astronomical, battle, replication and command computers on the planet, as well as all of those upon off-world locations, such as those found in starships. Each day, all computers transmit their databanks to the central history computers, which have data ports at all the major cities of the globe. Ontomeis can attach himself to these data ports via data transfer tubes and receive all the information at once. He then sends information through the same data port to the central history computers found in the depths of Æonos. This record is his own account of what happened on that particular day. It is an abridged record with commentary, all false accounts are discarded and the actual truth, as Ontomeis perceives it, is recorded for all posterity to peruse.

This data transfer, rearrangement and history recording occurs once a day, usually at its end, however, Ontomeis, once he hooks up to a data port, can command all the computers to upload their data into the central computers and he can command the central computers to download their data into him, making it possible for him to record his record at any moment he chooses.

Sometimes Ontomeis finds himself in remote regions, where there are no data ports available for hookup. During these times, Ontomeis can remotely view the data, using the Æther. When he does this, he goes into a trance-like state and sees what the Æther sees. Because the Æther is found everywhere, it is almost as if Ontomeis has an all-seeing eye, peering from every direction. He can use this ability to both see the present and the past, and will often utilize his gift of Æther sight to learn what happened during the day when circumstances have not allowed him to download data from a data port.

The Arlemen Council have analyzed his life sphere to determine how it is that Ontomeis is able to tap into Æther sight naturally and they have discovered that Ontomeis' life sphere has a conduit going directly from the Æther configuration within his sphere to the general Æther itself. When he goes into a trance and sees by the power of the Æther, he focusses his sensing ability through the conduit and directly accesses the record found there.

Lie Detection.  Ontomeis is also able to detect lies by using his remote viewing ability to double check everything his senses (or other people) tell him with what the Æther record shows. If there is a discrepancy between the two information channels, Ontomeis always discards the record of reality and sides with what the Æther says happened. He has learned by experience that the record found in the Æther is accurate and contains only truth. Because of this peculiar ability, Ontomeis cannot be deceived.

History: Prior to The Civil War of Æonos: When the Arlemen Council was still in its infancy, it became apparent that a Chief Recorder would be necessary. The Council decided that this individual, as the writer of the history of their people, must be trustworthy to an infinite degree. A search was put out to find such a person and many military and non-military candidates (including Ontomeis) volunteered. After extensive psychological tests, all but Ontomeis remained.

The Arlemen Council, however, was not convinced. Therefore, they put Ontomeis into a virtual reality environment, in which a veil of forgetfulness was placed upon him and all manner of deception was used to trip him. It didn't work. Ontomeis was able to discern all the lies from the truth. It was then that the Arlemen Council realized that Ontomeis not only could not tell a lie, but he could also detect any lie. Needless to say, despite never having attended the Emponic Military Academy, Ontomeis was offered the position of Chief Recorder and granted the rank of Niagan. He has functioned as such ever since.

Although Ontomeis is a part of the Arlemen Council, he belongs to no Army of Æonos. His insignia is separate and distinct from all the others.

Ontomeis carries a laser short sword hidden in his right inner forearm, two metal forearm shields and a laser pistol.

Replica Mode:

Ontomeis can turn into a replica of a Thunder Racer. Thunder Racers come from the organic planet Jorr III and are five wheeled ground vehicles, triangular shaped, one wheel at the front, two on either side of the cockpit and two at the very rear. They are single seaters capable of achieving 300+ miles per hour. The cockpit opens up from the top and can be ejected should a pilot get into trouble. The name of the vehicle comes from the sound that its H&Y 2805 Vector Trill engines produce: that of an atmosphere being ripped apart.
